Carlo Acutis: The Catholic Church's Computer Prodigy

Carlo Acutis was an Italian website designer who documented Eucharistic miracles and approved Marian apparitions. He was born on May 3, 1991, and died on October 12, 2006, at the age of 15. Acutis was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia and offered his suffering for the sick and the dying.

Pope Francis has recognized a second miracle attributed to the intercession of Carlo Acutis.

The miracle involved the healing of a Brazilian boy from a rare and aggressive form of pancreatic cancer. The boy's parents prayed to Acutis for his intercession, and the boy was miraculously healed. Acutis is a role model for young people today. He showed us that it is possible to live a holy life in the midst of the modern world. He was a gifted computer programmer and used his skills to spread the message of the Catholic Church. He is an inspiration to us all to use our talents and abilities to serve God and others.
